The Number Crunch Bunch

The Number Crunch Bunch is a speaking and listening tool, designed to promote mathematical discussion with groups of children, or a whole class.

It is a series of cartoons, where characters explore mathematical misconceptions by discussing ideas. They are based on misconceptions outlined by the QCA Implications for Teaching and Learning.

They can be used as a formative assessment tool and teachers can unpick the mathematics behind misconceptions and use appropriate tasks to consolidate and secure those areas of concern.

They are a powerful tool for promoting exploration of mathematical misconceptions and an invaluable aid to any Key Stage Two teacher.
